I have begun a new sketchbook(8-1/2×11) project which I am calling FreeMarks.
One drawing per day, no rules (media/subject matter/time spent/etc.). No purpose, beyond the pure enjoyment of making marks on the page.

Pinecone Variations
5″x 7″ mixed media/collage on matboard
For these pieces, I began with a pen and ink drawing of a pine cone that I collected in the forest here on Pine Point.. I had the drawing reproduced, then cut, pasted, drew on, and reconfigured the elements to create new compositions on 5″x 7″ boards. Very fun and very relaxing.
Small Drawings
While going through some shelves in my studio (in an attempt to get organized), I came across a folder of small drawings I had done during a visit to Amelia Island, all inspired by the beach and the glorious ocean. Each drawing is 4″x 4″. Pen and ink or Neocolor 1 crayon.
Here are a few of them. These and others are available for purchase in the Bergerson Gallery Shop
