For these pieces, I began with a pen and ink drawing of a pine cone that I collected in the forest here on Pine Point.. Â I Â had the drawing reproduced, then cut, pasted, drew on, and reconfigured the elements to create new compositions on 5″x 7″ boards. Very fun and very relaxing. Â
     
     
   
   
   
Weekly Meditation
Weekly Meditation
Once a week I open a specially dedicated sketchbook and do a meditative piece, a small (5″x 5″) piece, any medium or combination of media, no plan to produce a salable piece, no time restrictions, no prior planning. Â Just grab something that appeals to me and go with it. Â Sometimes I am satisfied with a piece after 30 minutes. Â Sometimes hours go by without me noticing the passage of time. Â
