Crayon Drawings

One of my favorite mediums is NeoColor 1 wax/oil crayon.  They are, basically, very high quality color crayons…….like the Crayola crayons we all grew up with, except artist grade with a high concentration of pigment. They can be layered and blended, scraped away, polished to a high sheen.  I work most of the time on Canson vellum bristol, but they will mark on anything….paper, wood, metal, glass. They can also be used in conjunction with Prismacolor pencils.

They are excellent for bring along when I travel…..way less messy than paint.

The following are just a few of my crayon drawings…..each is about 14″X18″.
