7″ X 7″ colored pencil on Strathmore drawing bristol
Another in the Weekly Drawing series. Inspired by a visit to the Landscape Arboretum followed by wine-tasting at a nearby winery, which led to a strange urge to do a colored pencil rendering. Now I have that out of my system.
The most exhilarating way to spend an afternoon in the studio…..
1. Open a new carton of blank canvasses
2. Start painting!
“I don’t go to the studio with the idea of “saying” something. What I do is face the blank canvas and put a few marks on it that start me on some sort of dialogue.” Richard Diebenkorn
Let the dialogue begin.
