Judith, I am fascinated and excited by your work. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your process. In your grid series, are you still using acrylic; how do you get it to finish with such transparency of layers. Do you use a particular medium?
Thank you! Yes, I use primarily acrylic in conjunction with collage (sometimes) and drawing media. I use gloss medium to create transparent glazes, matte medium to give me a drawable (with pencil/colored pencil) surface, and a combination of the 2 for a final coating to give the piece a consistant surface. I use primarily Liquitex paints and mediums because I have used them forever and know just what they will do.
