Ice Out

Valuable lesson learned: If you discover a vintage scrapbook in the back of a closet and think that the pages would make good toned paper on which to draw, don’t believe it.  Of course this paper, intended for glueing and pasting and packaged in the most inexpensive way possible, has no sizing….. I don’t know what I was thinking.  It was about one notch better than working on paper towels. One stroke of anything, and the surface was broken, and for sure erasing wasn’t an option at all.  I sprayed the finished piece with a workable fixative, and then just for the hell of it sprayed a blank sheet as well.  I tried a couple of strokes on the second sheet, and it is better……I think that some time soon I will do something on it.  It is such a neat color.
