My Mother always planted grass seeds so we would have fresh, bright green grass as the centerpiece on the dinner table on Easter. I sowed seeds this year for the first time, in variety of containers (since I had lots of seeds)….small pots for gifts, a few bowls, as well as in a large footed glass trifle bowl. I was excited to discover that as the grass grew I could see it’s progress both above and below ground level. The patterns that were formed naturally were the inspiration for this drawing.
